Our client, a young and fast-growing international school, is seeking a Physics teacher for their Upper School. Educators within the International Baccalaureate (IB) framework are expected to design meaningful and differentiated learning experiences that support students in a safe and nurturing environment - emotionally, socially, and physically. A strong alignment with the IB’s educational philosophy, including its emphasis on learning through action, personal development, and global citizenship, is essential. Tasks Planning, teaching, assessment Base all instructional planning on the school’s curriculum framework. Collaborate with colleagues during scheduled planning sessions to develop cohesive unit plans. Actively demonstrate and encourage the values and traits outlined in the IB Learner Profile. Employ inquiry-based learning strategies to foster curiosity and engagement and critical thinking Use a balanced mix of teaching methods to address varied learning styles and needs. Guide students in reflecting on their learning and taking meaningful action. Offer constructive feedback both orally and in writing. Assign homework in alignment with school-wide expectations. Regularly evaluate and refine your teaching approach. Apply a variety of assessment methods, including both formative and summative approaches. Make sure evaluations align with the core components of the PYP, DP, and IGCSE programmes, and adhere to the school’s established assessment guidelines.
