Would you like to join our Gastroenterology Specialist Nursing Service ? We are looking to recruit to a part time Band 6 position at the Trust, who would join our team , to continue and further develop the services we provide to our patients.
The Trust, has been rated “Good” by the Care Quality Commission who described our services as safe, effective and well led.
The role is to deliver treatments to patients who have inflammatory bowel disease, related anaemia and also patients who have haemochromotosis requiring venesection.
The successful candidate will be a registered general nurse with post-registration experience. You should also have had experience of Gastroenterology; experience with biologic drugs would be advantageous although is not essential.
The successful post holder , will have excellent communication skills and knowledge to offer support and education to our patients. There will be opportunities to support your own personal development within the organisation to help you gain the knowledge you need to succeed.
An opportunity has arisen within the gastroenterology team for a Band 6 specialist nurse. The post holder must be a registered general nurse with post registration experience. The post holder needs to be able to work autonomously, within the gastroenterology team and in collaboration with the Consultant Gastroenterologists.
Duties will include, disease education for patients, clinic reviews, administering treatments, blood monitoring, support and advice for patients/trust staff.
