Job Overview We are hiring an experienced IBM BPM & Sterling Integration Engineer to design, develop, and deliver end-to-end business process orchestration and B2B integration solutions for a large enterprise / banking client. The role requires strong hands-on expertise in IBM BPM 8.6 and IBM Sterling B2B Integrator, with ownership of complex workflows, integrations, deployments, and production support. Education Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline (or equivalent relevant industry experience) IBM Sterling certification is a plus Experience Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in IBM BPM development Minimum 5+ years of experience with IBM Sterling B2B Integrator / Sterling File Gateway Experience delivering end-to-end integration solutions 2+ years of experience with Sterling Secure Proxy or Sterling Connect:Direct is preferred Experience consuming and integrating REST APIs Banking / Financial Services / Fintech experience in an enterprise environment is highly desirable Technical SkillsIBM BPM Strong expertise in IBM BPM 8.6 UI framework Hands-on experience with: Business Process Definition (BPD) design Developing complex processes and workflows CSHS and Integration Services Events, gateways, and exception handling at process and service levels Process application packaging and deployments Experience integrating Oracle RDBMS with IBM BPM Knowledge of IBM ODM and rule integration is a plus IBM Sterling Strong hands-on experience with: IBM Sterling B2B Integrator Sterling File Gateway Experience designing and developing business processes and maps Good understanding of trading partner onboarding and communication protocols (SFTP, FTPS, AS2, etc.) Hands-on experience in monitoring, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and optimisation Experience with Sterling installation / upgrades is an added advantage Knowledge of IBM WebSphere Transformation Extender (WTX) is a plus Functional & Delivery Skills Strong adherence to coding standards, security practices, unit testing, and documentation Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments Ability to ensure high quality of technical design and application architecture Capability to research, evaluate, and benchmark technologies against best-in-class solutions Strong ownership of delivery, stability, and production support Soft Skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to collaborate with multiple technical and business teams Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision Comfortable presenting technical concepts to senior and executive stakeholders Ability to mentor and guide junior team members Experience Range 5–8 years (ideal range)
