JOB SUMMARY:

The Automation & Tooling Engineer is responsible for developing automation scripts, dashboards, and tools to streamline application onboarding processes and ensure compliance with artifact requirements. This role focuses on automating metadata collection, readiness scoring, and validation, building guided templates, and creating KPI dashboards to monitor onboarding performance. The Engineer will collaborate with onboarding leads, architects, and analysts to reduce manual workloads, enhance workflows, and support knowledge transfer to government staff.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in DevOps or automation engineering within enterprise environments.
  • Familiarity with identity data flows and metadata handling in ICAM systems.
  • Knowledge of continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
  • Experience with Okta and SailPoint APIs, ServiceNow for workflow automation, and data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau.
  • Familiarity with version control systems such as Git/GitHub.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with onboarding leads, architects, and analysts.
  • Active Secret clearance.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Certifications: Agile Developer Certifications or vendor-specific certifications from Azure, AWS, Okta, or SailPoint.
  • Advanced experience in developing automation scripts and workflows for identity management processes.
  • Proficiency in creating and maintaining KPI dashboards for performance monitoring.
  • Experience in producing knowledge transfer runbooks or training materials for technical teams.
