Summary
ICBA Payments is seeking a Specialist, Fraud Loss Protection Program to help transform a steady 40-year business supporting the nation’s community banks to the future of payments. The Specialist, Fraud Loss Protection Program serves as the primary coordinator for payment processing under the in-house coverage plan, ensuring all participating banks remain compliant with the requirements outlined in the Fraud Loss Protection Plan (FLPP) Terms and Conditions Agreement. This role also supports the Fraud Loss Protection Program Manager and assists with database management functions through a variety of key responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Review, analyze, and process all incoming fraud loss payments in accordance with program provisions and service standards.
- Conduct a thorough investigation of all documentation to confirm coverage and details. Communicate with FLPP participants to gather additional documentation or clarifications as necessary to finalize processing.
- Submit fraud contact forms to participants for ACH information updates and track submission status.
- Maintain the program portal by uploading fraud contact form submissions as received.
- Ensure the Accounting department and NetForum system are updated with current bank fraud contacts and ACH information for reimbursements.
- Update the fraud portal monthly with reimbursement data provided by the accounting department.
- Submit finalized fraud payment reports to the FLPP Manager for appropriate distribution.
- Respond to FLPP-related inquiries from participating banks and escalate vendor issues, as necessary.
- Generate fraud reimbursement reports for both FLPP participants and internal teams, especially for use in bank visits.
- Provide FLPP participating banks with comparative reports outlining program benefits and premium payments.
- Monitor and respond to internal staff requests submitted through the HubSpot ticketing system.
- Maintain accurate enrollment and termination dates for FLPP participants in NetForum.
- Share completed fraud contact forms, welcome packets, and termination letters with the Operations team for proper archiving in Content Central.
- Request and track supporting documentation from member banks related to the return of Program Clearing Account funds.
- Assist the FLPP Manager with subpoena request inquiries from law enforcement or legal counsel. Process and distribute CAMS/CANS alerts received from the card associations to the appropriate processors.
- Support the maintenance of accurate program documentation and communication files.
- Provide general support to the Operations department on various assignments and projects as needed.
Qualifications
- Associate degree or completion of a 2-year certificate program required with minimum of 2–4 years of related experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Detailed oriented with the ability to manage time independently and effectively.
- Strong analytical ability to independently make decisions utilizing processing standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- Must have experience working with reports, data sources and files maintain accurate data records and reporting.
Compensation and Benefits
The target annual salary range for this role is currently $60,000 to $70,000 based on a regular, full-time schedule. The amount of compensation offered will be determined by several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications, market data and internal equity. Total compensation includes a comprehensive healthcare benefits package (medical, dental and vision), 401k plan company match contribution, and an annual performance bonus.
