Description

RECRUITMENT FRAUD

Cyber criminals advertise fake job adverts with prestigious employers as a way of stealing information or even defrauding individuals out of money. In the most sophisticated cases, they will set up fake websites, which have a similar address to companies like Unilever. They even conduct fake telephone interviews and then offer candidates a role with the proviso they pay a fee for background checks or to cover work visa costs. These types of attacks are becoming more common as more people are looking for employment in the economic climate.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Support the Microbiological Clearance testing of ice cream products prepared at Colworth site.
  • Preparing cultures of microorganisms required for experiments and for the maintenance of the Culture Collection.
  • Identify and apply microbiological laboratory experiments to ensure correct and reliable data are provided for microbiological risk assessment and incident support.
  • Ensure end-to-end quality in microbiology science-based data support, from design of experiments, followed by execution, basic (statistical) data analysis and visualisation, presentation, and reporting to relevant stakeholders.
  • Conduct science based literature search from a variety of sources contributing to safety, shelf-life stability and security across our R&D innovation portfolio and business operations.
  • Provide technical advice and assistance to both internal and external stakeholders on microbiological specifications and methods.
  • Team work in maintaining a high-quality laboratory environment and efficient working practices.
  • Identify and adapt new methodologies/process/procedures enabling future fit microbiological solutions.
