Description South Mountain Creamery, a leading creamery known for crafting premium, small-batch ice cream, is seeking a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Associate to join our team at our Commerce Street Warehouse. In this role, you’ll help ensure the safe handling, organization, and distribution of our ice cream products. This position involves working in cold storage environments and supporting a variety of warehouse operations. Key Responsibilities: Receive, inspect, and store incoming ice cream products and raw materials. Pick, pack, and prepare ice cream orders for delivery or shipment with accuracy. Load and unload trucks using pallet jacks or forklifts (if certified). Rotate stock and monitor inventory to ensure freshness and minimize waste (FIFO method). Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the cold storage and dry goods areas. Assist with inventory counts and record keeping. Adhere to food safety, hygiene, and warehouse safety guidelines. Report damaged or expired products to the Warehouse Manager. Support production and distribution teams as needed. Requirements Prior warehouse or food handling experience preferred. Ability to work in cold/freezer environments for extended periods (temperatures as low as -20°F). Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for long periods. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Team-oriented with good communication skills. Forklift certification is a plus (training may be provided). Working Conditions: Work environment includes refrigerated and frozen areas. Must be comfortable handling packaged dairy products. Schedule may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, or holidays based on demand.
