ABOUT US:

Welcome to Where Magic Meets Maintenance — Join Our Ice Operator Team!
At the Regional Recreation Corporation of Wood Buffalo (RRC), we believe that community is built one smooth sheet of ice at a time. Whether it’s a tiny tot’s first wobble on skates or a championship goal echoing off the boards, every moment matters—and you could be the behind-the-scenes hero who makes it all possible.
We’re on the lookout for a passionate, hands-on, skate-laced superhero to join our team at the Anzac Recreation Centre as an Ice Operator Level 1. If you know your way around a Zamboni, can spot a dull blade from a mile away, and believe that great ice can turn an ordinary day into a lifelong memory—this role has your name all over it.
You’ll be the trusted technician, the ice artisan, the keeper of the cold. From blade changes and flawless floods to painting perfect lines and keeping our gear in top shape, you’ll have your hands on the heartbeat of the rink.
And yes—there will be Zamboni rides. Lots of them.
At RRC, we operate on more than just coolant and grit. We’re powered by values—Safety, Collaboration, Innovation, Sustainability, and Diversity—and guided by a commitment to Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging in everything we do.
So if you’re ready to roll up your sleeves, lace up your boots, and help us keep the ice shining and the smiles wide—we want to hear from you.
