Description JOB SUMMARY: The Ice Technician will work at both the Utah Mammoth practice facility in Sandy, UT and the Delta Center in Salt Lake City, UT. Persons are responsible for maintaining and operating a fast, hard, and smooth ice surface. This role is full-time and offers a compensation range of $20-22/hour depending on experience. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Report to the Ice Manager and Assistant Ice Manager on daily duties between both rinks Monitor, document, and report all occurrences during set-ups including employee accidents or injuries, facility or equipment damage, or misuse Assist with ice install and removal at Delta Center and Sandy practice facility Manage ice surface needs and report back to the Ice Manager/Assistant Ice Manager Operate and maintain the Zamboni, ice edger, and other ice-related equipment; complete daily maintenance of all equipment Responsible for the safe usage and storage of liquid propane fuel within the facility and routinely monitors and changes the Zamboni propane tanks Manage and maintain controls over ice/dasher maintenance Operate and maintain ice resurfacing equipment in a safe manner for games, practices, and other events Assist in the repairs of ice resurfacing equipment as required Maintain the rink, equipment, and all records according to NHL standards Lace and maintain hockey goals and maintain an accurate inventory of ice making tools and supplies Adhere to all safety protocols and practices Protect the reputation of the company Exemplify the Delta Center mission and values: transparent, all in, community obsessed, one team, and scrappy Assist with ice needs at both the Sandy practice facility and Delta Center Other duties as assigned COMPETENCIES: Instills Trust - Gaining the confidence and trust of others through honesty, integrity, and authenticity Manages Complexity - Making sense of complex, high quantity, and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems Action Oriented - Taking on new opportunities and rough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm Manages Ambiguity - Operating effectively, even when things are not certain or the way forward is not clear QUALIFICATIONS: Must be at least 18 years of age or older Valid Driver's License required Must be able to pass a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) screening in accordance with company policy and insurance requirements Must be able to pass a drug test.
