Description

The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is reinforcing its presence in North-East Ukraine and established an Area Office based in Kharkiv. AONE covers regions of Kharkiv and Sumy where current Field Office (FO) in Shostka. The key sectors of intervention covered by the North-East area office will include Shelter, Information Counselling and Legal Assistance (ICLA), Protection from Violence, Education, and emergency response through cash assistance. Role and responsibilities The Information, Counselling and Legal Assistance (ICLA) Technical Officer will be responsible for the day-to day implementation of ICLA activities, community outreach and provision of legal services on legal identity, internally displaced persons registration, housing, land and property rights in particular with regards to Real Estate, Construction and Land Law - and to ensure synergies with other NRC Core Competencies and access to services. The ICLA Technical Officer will also conduct capacity building activities at internal and external level, and conduct legal monitoring, research, analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities

The officer is responsible for implementing ICLA activities, providing legal services regarding identity and property rights, and conducting community outreach. Additionally, the role involves legal monitoring, research, and capacity building for internal and external stakeholders.
