SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

  • 2+ years business analysis /similar experience
  • Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in IT is recommended.
  • Experience working with APIs and other technical solutions
  • Teamwork experience and business skills
  • Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills at all levels
  • Ability to prioritize tasks appropriately and manage time effectively
  • Ability to work under pressure and undertake multiple concurrent tasks and accountability of project deliverables
  • Negotiation skills

Responsibilities
  • Identify the business need, determine the solution approach, define solution scope and develop the business case
  • Using various business analysis techniques such as brainstorming, focus groups, gap analysis etc capture and elicit the requirements for the business need in liaison with various stakeholders
  • Prepare ‘Business Requirement’ and detailed ‘Functional Specification’ or Solution documents in-line with relevant Client Documentation Standards (including pre-defined templates) which define the relevant business and functional requirements in order for the end solution to be delivered accurately.
  • Conduct ‘walk throughs’ of Business Requirement and detailed Functional Specifications to project members and relevant business resources to ensure understanding and gain sign off to enable progress to next phase of project.
  • Identifying, investigating, analyze business processes, procedures and work practices.
  • Identifying and evaluating inefficiencies and recommending optimal business practices, and system functionality and behavior.
  • Creating user and training documentation and conducting formal training classes.
  • Where necessary develop, communicate and manage the relevant project plan ensuring all required tasks are identified, assigned a responsibility and date for delivery.
  • Engage the involvement and agreement of relevant business and technical representatives where needed.
  • Design process flows and take responsibility for deploying functional solutions, which ensure acceptable quality and integrity of the system. Respond to client enquiries, resolve client issues, and minimize liability.
  • Any other duties as assigned by the Manager.
