WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL AS AN ICT T-LEVEL TEACHER AT ACTIVATE LEARNING?

Successful candidates will have an appropriate professional qualification and/or a degree in Computing, Information Technology, or a related digital field, alongside relevant industrial experience. We would also welcome applications from unqualified teachers with the ability to inspire our learners, a willingness to train, and a commitment to developing excellent teaching practice.
We are seeking individuals who can act as positive role models and demonstrate the attributes of an inspirational lecturer. Your communication and interpersonal skills will be excellent, helping you deliver engaging, purposeful lessons to a diverse range of learners. We want teachers who can ensure that students leave us not only with their qualifications, but also with the skills and attributes needed to succeed in the digital workplace.
Candidates should demonstrate a desire and ability to work with the wider team to develop strong employer links and build opportunities for meaningful work experience and project-based learning for students.
It is essential that candidates have strong practical knowledge in key ICT and computing areas such as networking, cybersecurity, data management, and programming (Python, Java, or similar). Practical experience using industry-standard platforms and technologies (e.g., Microsoft Azure, AWS, Cisco Networking, SQL databases) would be a distinct advantage. The ability to support students in developing digital project management skills and technical documentation is also desirable.
The successful candidate will be involved in grading project work, supporting student assessments, and participating in the internal quality assurance processes for T-Level delivery.

You will be delivering across our new T-Level Digital qualifications, with a strong focus on developing the technical, practical, and professional skills required for a successful career in the digital sector. This includes teaching core units such as:

Additionally, students will develop core Data Technician skills, including data sourcing, integration, analysis, interpretation, and evaluation to support business outcomes.
