WHO WE ARE SUPPORTING

The NATO Communication and Information Agency (NCIA) is responsible for providing secure and effective communications and information technology (IT) services to NATO’s member countries and its partners. The agency was established in 2012 and is headquartered in Brussels, Belgium.

The NCIA provides a wide range of services, including:

  • Cyber Security: The NCIA provides advanced cybersecurity solutions to protect NATO’s communication networks and information systems against cyber threats.
  • Command and Control Systems: The NCIA develops and maintains the systems used by NATO’s military commanders to plan and execute operations.
  • Satellite Communications: The NCIA provides satellite communications services to enable secure and reliable communications between NATO forces.
  • Electronic Warfare: The NCIA provides electronic warfare services to support NATO’s mission to detect, deny, and defeat threats to its communication networks.
  • Information Management: The NCIA manages NATO’s information technology infrastructure, including its databases, applications, and servers.

Overall, the NCIA plays a critical role in ensuring the security and effectiveness of NATO’s communication and information technology capabilities.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • The Contractor’s personnel must have basic computer literacy with regards to reading, writing, data inputs and basic Microsoft suite skills to include Word and Excel. Coordination for NSATU project will take place primarily through Microsoft Outlook. The technician will be taught how to conduct entries into Agencies Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tool. Technician is not required to have an understanding of ERP use, but must be able to follow instruction and how-to manuals to execute.
  • The Contractor’s personnel shall have extensive, documented experience of working in ICT environment: he must be able to unequivocally identify items and validate them before to post receipt within the ERP
  • The Contractor’s personnel must be autonomous for movements from-to the Main Gate to escort freight forwarders trucks
  • The Contractor’s personnel must have the forklift driving license
  • Technician must have the ADR (Dangerous Goods) certification
  • The Contractor’s personnel must be capable of conducting physical warehouse operations to include lifting and stacking boxes (25kg max), preparing and moving pallets via a pallet jack.
  • The Contractor’s personnel must wear appropriate protective clothing. Pants and steel toed shoes are mandatory for working within the Agency’s warehouse.
  • The Contractor’s personnel must remain in compliance with all Agency Health and Safety standards.
Responsibilities

ROLE BACKGROUND

The CSSC/AMSB Receipt and dispatch section is manned to provide the supply chain standard services like, receipt of pallets/boxes, check/validation of all received items, recording of items within the internal ERP, labeling of items, storage of items within the warehouse, prepare/palletize items for the shipments, coordinate the shipments with dedicated Companies, prepare Purchase Requests (PRs) within the ERP, provide Dangerous Goods declaration, ship items and follow-up the shipment until the destination.Current efforts by CSSC in support of NSATU exceeds a Full Time Equivalent (FTE) employees’ work. Asset Management Supply Branch requires personnel to conduct warehouse performance based tasks in support of NSATU projects. Technician will conduct receipt of goods, picking / storage of shipments at CSSC and preparing shipments to and from NSATU locations.

ROLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conducting of both physical and software receipt, warehousing (within CSSC warehouse) and dispatch of ICT equipment falling under POs related to NSATU Project.
  • The Contractor’s personnel shall check all incoming items, and validate all items based on the Purchase Requests to ensure they match by type and quantity and in absence of errors, he will post receipt in EBA (internal ERP).
  • The Contractor’s personnel shall store the items/boxes/pallets in the correct warehouse’s locators according to the indications received by the CSSC/AMSB/Warehouse section.
  • The Contractor’s personnel shall prepare assets for shipments based on the plan made by the Project Manager.
  • The Contractor’s personnel shall coordinate the shipments with the company in charge for these services, will create the PR within EBA and will provide the dangerous good declaration if required.
  • The Contractor’s personnel will facilitate the movements of items on trucks: the technician will follow-up the shipments until a confirmation of the delivery to the destination.
