Description

Hunter Trade College is seeking a motivated and customer-focused ICT Officer to join our team in a permanent part-time job share position (2 days per week). Supporting approximately 300 staff and students on a single campus, you'll play an important role in keeping our technology running smoothly and helping people get the most from it.

Hunter Trade College is an independent senior secondary school and Registered Training Organisation (RTO) based at Telarah, just minutes from Maitland.

Our students complete their Higher School Certificate while training in Electrotechnology, Construction, Automotive, Engineering or Plumbing, combined with industry-based learning with local employers. We are proud of our strong industry partnerships and our commitment to helping every student achieve their potential.

About the Role

As the first point of contact for ICT support, you'll provide friendly, responsive technical assistance to staff and students while helping maintain dependable, secure, and efficient ICT systems. Reporting to the Business Manager you will:

  • Provide Level 1 and Level 2 ICT support.
  • Respond to help desk requests and resolve technical issues.
  • Configure and maintain Windows devices and user accounts.
  • Support Microsoft 365, Active Directory and Group Policy, MS Teams, and SharePoint functionality.
  • Assist with ICT projects, system upgrades, and new technologies.
  • Help maintain ICT equipment, software, and documentation.

This is a permanent part-time job share position, working 2 days per week (8.00 am – 3.00 pm). Days of work to be negotiated with successful candidate.

About You

You enjoy solving problems, helping others, and learning new technologies. You communicate well with people of all technical abilities and take pride in providing excellent customer service.

You'll ideally have:

  • Certificate IV in Information Technology (or equivalent) or be currently studying towards an ICT qualification.
  • Experience providing ICT support or working in a service desk environment.
  • Knowledge of Windows, Microsoft 365, Active Directory and Group Policy.
  • Experience using help desk or ticketing systems.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and critical thinking skills.
  • An initiative-taking attitude and willingness to learn.
  • A current Working with Children Check and National Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
