The Digital, Technology and Innovation Branch is on the search for an experienced and dynamic ICT Project Manager to join the team on a temporary basis. Reporting to the Head of IT Strategy & Programs, you will lead and deliver strategic ICT projects that support Council’s digital transformation agenda. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with organisational goals.
This exciting opportunity will allow you to grow with the role and contribute meaningfully to Camden’s evolving digital landscape.

Essential:

  • Bachelor of Information and Communications Technology or relevant discipline and/or relevant industry experience.
  • Demonstrated and proven experience managing multiple projects, meeting strict deadlines and delivering identified outcomes in both Waterfall and Agile environments.
  • Capability to drive and implement change and to develop strategies to manage financial, operational, legal, and reputational risks.
  • Strong knowledge of IT procurement processes, vendor management and contract negotiations
  • Demonstrated ability to manage project budgets, schedules, and resources effectively.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with ability to communicate alternatives/options to non-technical audiences to ensure the Council can provide safe and commercially viable solutions.
  • Solid analytical, problem solving and decision-making abilities and the ability to think strategically, critically, and innovatively.
  • Solid relationship management skills, a demonstrated ability to provide high quality customer service and vendor management ideally a local government setting proactively and effectively.

Desirable:

  • Relevant Industry Certification (ITIL, Prince2, Agile, Change Management) are highly desirable.
  • Experience in managing complex transformation programs.
  • Previous experience in Local government or a similar environment.
