As an IAM Consultant at Avanade, you’ll have the unique opportunity to shape our clients’ secure digital future. You will be advising clients on best practices and strategies for securing their on-prem and cloud environments, implement solutions that address complex security challenges, problem-solve to ensure robust and resilient security architectures, provide technical consulting on a wide range of security topics including Identity and Access Management (IAM), Identity Governance & Administration (IGA), Privileged Access Management (PIM) and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver comprehensive security solutions. You’ll become part of our dynamic security practice, where you’ll have the opportunity to work with both Avanade and Accenture clients, ranging from medium to large global enterprises. We foster a culture of collaboration and knowledge-sharing, encouraging innovation and continuous learning to stay at the forefront of Microsoft Security technology.

Skills and experiences

  • Experience in consulting and client advisory roles.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively within teams and take initiative independently.
  • Technical expertise in Microsoft Cloud Security technologies.
  • In-depth understanding of IAM technologies, LDAP, SSO, RBAC and MFA.
  • Experience with programming and scripting languages such as Java, Python and PowerShell
  • Understanding of Cloud security frameworks and knowledge of protocols like OAuth, SAML and OpenID Connect.
  • Familiarity with Cloud Migration challenges and current industry trends.
  • Strong skills in creative problem-solving and risk management.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • Technical certifications like CISSP, SC-300, SC-900, AZ-900, AZ-104, AZ-500 would be good to have.

About you

  • 2-5 years of foundational experience in the Security technology industry.
  • Experience with security and cloud standards such as ISO2717, NIST, CIS, Azure Benchmark, etc.
  • Technical expertise in Microsoft Security, Compliance and Governance tools like Entra ID, Active Directory, Azure B2C, Microsoft Entra External ID, Microsoft Entra ID Governance.
  • Familiarity with Azure ecosystem and security baseline configurations.
  • Big interest in Advanced Identity topics and the Microsoft solution suite.
  • Proficiency in consulting practices including stakeholder engagement and documentation.
  • Experience with non-Microsoft IAM, IGA, PAM solutions like Quest, OneIdentity, Sailpoint, CyberArk would be a pre.
