JOB SUMMARY

At Ofgem, we’re leading the charge to protect the UK’s energy systems and the data that powers them. We’re looking for an Identity and Access Management (IAM) Engineer to join us and play a pivotal role in strengthening how we govern and control access to our critical information systems.
Ofgem is Great Britain’s independent energy regulator. We’re at the forefront of change across the energy sector, driving toward Net Zero whilst protecting energy consumers, especially vulnerable people.
We’re offering a permanent role at the heart of Ofgem’s digital transformation. This is a rare opportunity to shape and influence the design of our IAM strategy as part of a major technology uplift. You’ll help develop solutions that ensure secure and compliant access, all while navigating a fast-paced digital environment that embraces innovation.
This role offers the chance to work across a wide range of systems and stakeholders, from cloud platforms to privileged access tools, helping to deliver a future-proofed identity and access management ecosystem. You’ll be part of a collaborative and forward-thinking team, where your ideas and insight will help drive continuous improvement and change.
We’re looking for someone with a strong technical grounding and the ability to work confidently across complex IAM and PAM environments. You’ll need to balance attention to detail with strategic awareness and have the communication skills to work across technical and non-technical teams alike.
You’ll be joining an open-minded and curious team, where your contributions are valued and your ideas can lead to real change. In return, we offer flexible working, a hybrid model across our offices in London, Glasgow or Cardiff, and a comprehensive benefits package.
Our digital team have a critical purpose to safeguard the organisation’s information assets by aligning identity and access processes with industry best practice. Join us in this important mission and help secure the energy sector for today and tomorrow.
