POSITION SUMMARY:

Provides intelligence support for contingency operations, battle staff and operational-level planning, joint and multi-lateral training exercises, and strategic engagement policy throughout USSOCOM Areas of Operational Responsibility (AOR).

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proficient in utilizing basic computer applications, mIRC, Jabber Chat, and intelligence related automation in support of analytical efforts and product development
  • Possess strong research, analytical, and writing skills
  • Be capable of effectively operating as a member of an analytical team
  • Possess working knowledge of relevant tasking, collection, processing, reporting procedures, and communications architecture (PED)
  • Possess working knowledge of military ground and operations, target-area geography, place names, titles, and cultural norms as well as relevant enemy objectives, tactics, techniques, and procedures
  • Hold an active TS/SCI clearance

Responsibilities

The Contractor Technical PED Report Writers shall compare / review forensically collected data, identify discrepancies, flag suspect findings, review, and make recommendations; Identify sources for data and incorporate them into the data stream; Advise on how to improve data, conclusions and processes; make recommendations, coordinate and participate on research and tool development efforts; Gather, analyze, and evaluate information from a variety of sources; Determine the significance and reliability of incoming information; Establish and maintain data records and files; Prepare timely reports and maintain records and files; Identify national threats and ensure that critical information gets to end users / information submitters, superiors, and decision-makers. Work location is a secure facility at Rocky Point and / or SOCOM HQ on a 12/7/365 “Panama” 4-shift schedule (averages 80-hours every two weeks: 76-one pay period, 84-the following pay period).”
Assists in researching unclassified and classified databases for use in written products. Assists in monitoring and analyzing strategic and operational intelligence information. Provides research support for analysts who produce Intelligence Community reports and briefings. Aides in researching, authoring, and coordinating threat assessments to support the Commander and/or leaders in the command staff. May assist with development and maintenance of analytical policies and procedures.
