Description

Silver Wings Aerospace located in Princeton, Florida is currently seeking an Experienced CSD/IDG Technician to join our team. The CSD/IDG Technician is responsible for the disassembly, inspect, repair, and overhaul, modifications and reassembly of CSD components. Technicians perform routine, non-routine and preventative maintenance on all parts of the aircraft according to Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Silver Wings Aerospace. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Perform work assignments as determined by the shop management. * Ensures that all work is performed in accordance with approved technical data, to customer supplications and regulatory requirements. * Uses appropriate inspection techniques, and calibrated equipment for the unit/part being accomplished. * Utilizes the proper test equipment or suitable alternative and perform s preventative as needed. * Records information and accomplishes the work assignment in compliance with the Inspection Procedures Manual and Quality Policies and Procedures. * Assist Department Manager and Engineers with new capability development of repairs received *Maintain open two-way communication with Manager and team mates appropriately sharing both good and bad news * Provide timely quotes of units. * Maintain personal and shop calibrated tools is satisfactory operational condition. * Comply with all safety directive and maintain a clean and safe work environment. * Ability to read and interpret schematics and drawings. * Assist in cross training tech I personnel. * Other duties may be assigned Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: * Must be able to work as a team member and possess good inter-personal skills. * Must have a good understanding of aviation related Fuel and methods and processes Planning/Organizing. * Prioritizes and plans work activities; Uses time efficiently; is able to multi-task and be able to change priorities as required by customer driven demands. * Quantity - Meets productivity standards as required; Completes work in timely manner; Strives to increase productivity; Works quickly. * Safety and Security - Observes safety and security procedures; Determines appropriate action beyond guidelines; Reports potentially unsafe conditions; Uses equipment and materials properly. * Adaptability - Adapts to changes in the work environment. * Attendance/Punctuality - Is consistently at work and on time; Arrives at meetings and appointments on time. * Dependability - Follows instructions, responds to management direction; Takes responsibility for own actions; Keeps commitments; Commits to long hours of work when necessary to reach goals; Completes tasks on time or notifies appropriate person with an alternate plan. * Ability to prioritize and to work without close supervision * Detail orientated and organized. * Willing to work additional hours when operational objectives require it. * Computer skills -- General windows skills mandatory * Ability to work in a fast pace environment * Must be able to provide your own tools. * Must be capable of using standard tools to include, but not limited to; screwdrivers, wrenches, ratchets and sockets, torque drivers and wrenches, multi-meters, soldering irons, micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, flow meters, psi gauges, temperature measurement, safety wire pliers, or any other tool required for a particular maintenance function. * Experience in aircraft manufacturing, installation, and repair/overhaul of aircraft components. Familiar with aircraft specifications as applied to final and in-process inspections. * Working knowledge of Federal Aircraft Regulations (FAR). * Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, Standard Repair Manuals (SRM), & component maintenance manuals (CMM). * Work overtime as required by production requirements. Education and Experience Requirements: * Must read and write the English language. * 2 year Minimum Experience in Aerospace industry with mechanical aptitude required. * Ability to troubleshoot most if not all problems in our processes and equipment. * Flexibility to work beyond 40 hours/week as required. * Represents strong familiarity to MRO production processes. Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Reasoning Skills: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Protective Equipment Required: Goggles, safety glasses, face shields, ear protection, aprons, gloves, respirators, breathing equipment per safety data sheet which will be provided by company.
