Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management verifying the implementation of all goals and related services are being met on student individualized education plans in conjunction with the principal. This position is a non-union, leadership position. Become a Part of the Team: You'll collaborate with dedicated teachers, support staff and behavioral health specialists, creating a supportive and inspiring team environment. Job Responsibilities: Acts as the school liaison between the ALC and collaborating school districts and outside case management and other service providers. Assists in scheduling CSE meetings and notifying all student team members appropriately. Periodically reviews that all data are inputted according to NYSED IEP standards by classroom teachers and related service providers. Managers scripts for all related service providers. Coordinates completion of all report cards and progress monitoring in Carelogic and Frontline Education. Assists in interviewing and hiring of Teachers., Teacher Assistants and Related Service providers. Assists in creating class lists and schedule of related services. Assists in the acceptance and placement of all students. Collaborates with interdisciplinary team and parents to determine the most suitable and least restrictive environment for children based on their individual needs. Attends Committee on Special Education meetings to advocate for most appropriate program and services for students. Trains Teachers and Related Service Providers on the Frontline IEP management system. Assists and helps to support NYS Testing. Supervises teachers as directed by the principal, including onboarding and coaching. Coverage issues as required to ensure proper ratios in classrooms and daily staffing patterns.
