Classification Title: IH Supervisor I   Grade: 26 (depending on experience) Requisition No.: 2624 Number of Positions: 1 Location: Y-12 Organization: Safety and Security Officer Department: Y-12 Safety and Health Project Assignment:       Posting Date: 12/9/2025 Closing Date: 12/16/2025 Duties: * Implements the day-to-day programmatic and field aspects of the Industrial Hygiene Program in accordance with 10CFR Part 851, Worker Safety and Health Program, requirements. * Supports Industrial Hygiene sampling activities in compliance with written work plans, sampling protocols, & procedures. * Serves as an escort, upon request, to un-cleared individuals. * Perform other duties as assigned   Job-Related Qualifications Required:   Education/Experience: Bachelor of Science in Safety, Health, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Engineering or other related degree required, plus 10+ years of relevant work experience or demonstrated equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.   Required Training / Qualifications:     The Industrial Hygiene Supervisor must have a valid Driver’s License, be qualified to wear respiratory protection, be clean shaven daily for response action, and have or be able to have a security clearance.   Level Specific Responsibilities:   * Administer industrial hygiene functions of the safety and health program on the project level.    * Ensures the successful field implementation of the Industrial Hygiene Program in accordance with 10 CFR Part 851, Worker Safety and Health Program, requirements by maintaining frequent contact with project-assigned Industrial Hygiene Technicians. * Serves in a technical consulting capacity to safety and health professionals in addressing questions related to the Industrial Hygiene Technician Qualification Program, industrial hygiene instrumentation and calibration, and other field aspects of Industrial Hygiene Program implementation. * Maintains current the in-house Industrial Hygiene Technician Qualification Program, including all records associated with completion of training for the project-assigned Junior and Senior Industrial Hygiene Technicians. * Performs oversight management assessments and surveillances, at the direction of the UCOR Safety and Health Manager, of project implementation of industrial hygiene programmatic elements.   * Participates in the formulation of action plans in response to identified deficiencies. * Ensures detailed technical operations by Industrial Hygiene Technicians (IHTs) are performed in compliance with written work plans, protocols, and procedures. * Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned * Oversees IHT’s briefing of crews on IH exposure evaluations and monitors/control strategies and required responses to elevated monitoring results. * Oversees air and bulk sampling, noise surveys, temperature assessments, etc. * Provides oversight of incident sampling events, including chemical decontamination practices, where applicable. * Performs quality assurance on Industrial Hygiene survey reports, and other industrial hygiene-related sampling activities and records to ensure accuracy and quality of end product. * Ensures development, and maintenance, and proper disposition of industrial hygiene data records and reports. * Assists in development and maintenance of Performance Document Checklists, procedures and instructions upon request. * Assists Industrial Hygienists in following investigation analysis and providing feedback to crews on high monitoring/sampling results. * Provides guidance to technicians in the assigned area in collaboration with the Project-assigned Industrial Hygienist. * Reports to the appropriate ESH Operations Manager depending on assignment * Has authority to request changes from individuals who input and/or generate IHAS Survey Reports to ensure accuracy and quality of end product   Relocation: ☐ YES ☒ NO   UCOR prohibits smoking in enclosed areas, including company vehicles.
