The delivery / warehouse team member will work with other members of the distribution team to increase company profitability and customer satisfaction by delivering complete, accurate and on-time deliveries to the company's customers. The driver / warehouse team member will represent the company in a highly professional, safe and cost- effective manner that complies with DOT and other applicable regulations. JOB DUTIES: • Prepare truck for operation by assisting in and overseeing the loading of trucks, securing of items and verifying the accuracy of shipping papers. • Inspect truck tires, lights, brakes, fluids, etc. to ensure safe and cost- effective performance with preventative maintenance in mind each morning. • Maintain and file vehicle inspection reports and logbooks. • Immediately notify their supervisor if they are involved in any accidents or traffic violations • Immediately notify their supervisor of any problems or medical conditions that effect driving safety or job performance • Handle all duties honestly, follow high ethical standards and present a professional image at all times. • Deliver orders via the most effective route to ensure complete orders are delivered according to established time frames and customers needs. • Maintain communication with company during deliveries to ensure any updated instructions are received and maintain Nextel contact with supervisor to receive delivery instructions. • Document delivery, accuracy and receipt of orders by the customer according to company directives and report any discrepancies to company. • Increase customer satisfaction by collecting information, feedback on service and communicate information back to company. • Inform customers of new products and services that can increase customer satisfaction and sales. • Safely operate all vehicles and equipment and maintain all required certifications and licenses. • Maintain a safe driving record free of violations. • Pulling, filling, packing and setting up orders for delivery or pickup. • Maintain the ability to determine the status of an order at any given time. • Follow any special instructions pertaining to an individual order. • Shipping and receive duties as assigned. • Report any quality or inventory discrepancy issues to the appropriate team member. • Communicate positively with supervisors, sales staff, fellow team members and customers to coordinate deliveries or pickups. • Assist in keeping facility clean, neat, safe and operating efficiently. • Process returns accurately. • Follow all established policy and safety guidelines in a drug free workplace. • Attend company meetings and product knowledge meetings as required by management. • Maintain proficiency in computerized systems and other technologies as required. • Present a neat and professional image. • Assist in keeping facility secure. • Follow company policies and procedures. • Assist in physical inventory and cycle counts. • Other duties as assigned.
