Job Details Level: Experienced Job Location: Dallas Retirement Village - Dallas, OR 97338 Position Type: On-Call Education Level: Not Specified Travel Percentage: None Job Shift: Any Job Category: Admin - Clerical The Resident Services team member performs a variety of duties/services that enhance the quality of life of Dallas Retirement Village Independent Residents. Qualifications Must be able to work independently. Must possess a High School diploma or equivalent. One year of experience working with the senior population preferred. Must have good oral and verbal communication skills. Must be able to appropriately prioritize and organize multiple tasks/projects. Must possess the ability to deal tactfully and pleasantly with residents, families, staff, community resources, visitors, and the general public. Must be highly customer service oriented and dedicated to providing superior hospitality and service at all times. Must be able to project cheerfulness and enthusiasm, maintain a positive attitude and work as a productive member of the team. Must maintain a professional appearance in compliance with facility dress codes. Must be able to read and write in English language. Must possess basic computer and telephone skills. Must be able to deal effectively with residents and staff when conflicts arise and/or stressful situations, including emergencies. Must have the ability to encourage and create enthusiasm about Independent Living programs and daily functions. Must have a valid driver’s license. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS: Normally works in well lighted, comfortable surroundings. Must be able to concentrate with frequent interruptions. Must be able to sit for up to fifty percent (50%) of the workday. Must have manual dexterity for typing and filing. Frequent walking; frequent bending, reaching and stooping. Must be able to lift and carry up to fifty (50) lbs. independently. May be exposed to communicable diseases including the HIV and HBV viruses, unpleasant odors, and combative behavior.

Responsibilities

The Resident Services team member enhances the quality of life for Independent Residents at Dallas Retirement Village by performing various duties and services. This role requires effective communication and customer service skills to interact positively with residents and staff.
