Role Title: Expression of Interest for ILS Practitioners Role Description: The ILS Practitioner operates within a collaborative framework involving government agencies, program management offices, industry partners, and international stakeholders to provide integrated logistics support to a complex internationally-focused program. The role will involve: • Reviewing and moderating contractor-developed ILS documentation, including acquisition and support deliverables. • Assessing and providing input on Life Cycle Cost Plans and associated reports. • Developing ILS strategies, plans, and procedures aligned with program objectives. • Acting as a liaison between internal stakeholders, international partners, and contractor engineering/ILS teams. • Providing advice on technical compliance, regulatory frameworks, and safety standards. • Preparing and maintaining a comprehensive Logistics Plan to ensure coordinated logistics activities across all stakeholders. • Supporting the achievement of Initial and Final Operational Capability milestones. • Offering ILS guidance to related programs and sustainment offices to ensure alignment and integration. • Conducting ongoing quality and configuration assurance of ILS and supportability artefacts. • Reviewing and advising on contractual statements of work and related documentation. This role operates within a dynamic, high-tempo project environment. The successful candidate will demonstrate experience in complex, fast-paced settings, preferably within Defence or similarly regulated sectors, and a willingness to adapt and contribute flexibly as required. Essential Requirements: • Current NV1, or eligible for NV1 security clearance • Eligible to access US Export Controlled (ITAR) information • At least 2-4 years’ experience relevant to the job/role description above. • ILS Project Management experience. • The ILS Practitioner must have excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to develop and maintain positive relations while displaying, upholding and promoting the core values of Defence when engaging with stakeholders in the private and public sector. • The ILS Practitioner must be well organised and able to coordinate limited resources to ensure the achievement of schedules and deliverables with the flexibility to review and moderate issues, develop and provide input to mitigation strategies and respond appropriately to adhoc and short notice tasks Desirable Requirements: • ADF (airforce) or APS Defence Background. • High level of communication skills. • High level of organisational skills. • Knowledge of Estate and Infrastructure processes. • Knowledge of the Australian Standard for Defence Contracting (ASDEFCON) processes and suite of documents.
