Position Title: Imaging Care Associate PRN Department: Adult Diagnostic X-Ray Job Description: General Description: The Imaging Care Associate PRN supports the Imaging team in providing excellent patient care. Essential Responsibilities: Responsibilities listed in this section are core to the position. Prepares patients for testing and/or procedures including patient positioning. Transports patients as requested. Responds to inquiries from patients and family members. Collaborates with team members across OU Health to provide exceptional patient care. Cleans, disinfects and organizes to provide a welcoming environment for patients. Assists with scheduling and other clerical tasks. Assists with data entry, patient records, documentation and filing. General Responsibilities: Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Experience: At least 1 year of patient care experience required. License(s)/Certification(s)/Registration(s) Required: Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association required. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to provide exceptional service and care to patients. Basic knowledge of anatomy and physiology related to the imaging/radiology discipline. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to follow HIPAA guidelines and standards. Ability to prioritize and complete clinical or non-clinical work assignments Ability to multi-task and remain calm in stressful situations Ability to work as part of a diverse team and communicate effectively with others. Displays consistency and dependability by reporting to work as scheduled. Ability to be sensitive to patients’ physical and psychological needs. Ability to maintain accurate records and work accurately with names, numbers, and codes. Ability and desire to learn and grow in the Imaging profession.
