JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a highly organised, proactive and enthusiastic Administrative Assistant to join our team. This role is central to the smooth running of our office, providing essential support to colleagues and clients helping to ensure the business operates efficiently day to day.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start or develop a career in administration. The role can be offered as a standard position or as an Apprenticeship in partnership with Darlington College, providing the successful candidate with the chance to gain valuable experience while working towards a recognised qualification.
PLEASE NOTE: This is a full-time, office-based position in Darlington. We are not looking for remote working candidates at this time.

REQUIREMENTS FOR OUR ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT:

  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Confident using Google Drive / Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively
  • Good communication skills at all levels, both written and verbal
  • Professional, reliable and eager to learn
  • Previous experience in an administrative role is beneficial but not essential – training will be provided
Responsibilities
  • Provide general administrative support to the Sales & Operations Director and CEO and the wider team including handling phone calls, emails and client correspondence
  • Maintain organised records, filing systems, and databases
  • Support with scheduling meetings, diary management, and preparing documents
  • Assist with invoicing and data entry
  • Monitor office supplies and place orders when needed
  • Welcome visitors to the office and act as a first point of contact
  • Carry out any other ad-hoc administrative duties to support the business
