We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Immigration Lawyer to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in immigration law, demonstrating exceptional negotiation, research, and writing skills. This role involves providing legal counsel to clients navigating the complexities of immigration processes, ensuring their rights are protected and advocating on their behalf.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Juris Doctor (JD) or Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from an accredited law school.
• Membership in Good Standing with the Law Society of Alberta.
• Thorough knowledge of the IRPA, IRPR, IRB and Federal Court Rules and Practice Guidelines.

• Provide expert legal advice to clients on immigration matters, including visas, residency, and citizenship applications.
• Conduct thorough research on immigration laws and policies to ensure compliance and effective representation.
• Draft legal documents, including appeals, and motions, with precision and attention to detail.
• Maintain accurate records of client interactions and case progress in accordance with legal standards.
• Stay updated on changes in immigration law and policy to provide informed advice to clients.
• Represent clients in hearings, interviews or proceedings before IRCC, CBSA, IRB and the Federal Court.
