The San Jose, Costa Rica office is excited to present this rare opportunity to serve as the on-site Fragomen Immigration Program Analyst for one of the firm’s most important clients. We are seeking a motivated, client-service oriented professional with 3+ years’ experience in global mobility and/or business immigration to join our team in a client-based position.

This opportunity is initially a temporary 6 month contract with a hybrid work arrangement at one of Fragomen’s client sites in San Jose, Costa Rica.

How will you make a difference as an Immigration Program Analyst at Fragomen?

  • Partner with the client´s employees and business in procuring and maintaining company sponsored work visas and self-sponsored visas for authorized new hires and existing employees in the region; Act as an intermediary between TA and immigration counsel, requesting immigration assessment/guidance for candidates, as needed.
  • [US] Oversee and implement the PERM Recruitment process for each Green Card case. Post advertisements appropriately and screen US workforce as mandated by DOL requirements.
  • [US] Oversee onsite Public Access Files; ensure audit files are complaint to government regulations; maintain online files and track LCA notices.
  • Audit vendor invoices to ensure accuracy and compliance to programs and coordinate payments
  • Participate in onboarding and training of new team members.
  • Monitor immigration policies and practices to ensure compliance with global legal and regulatory requirements
  • Partner with Global Mobility leadership to develop and improve programs, policies and administration of the mobility and immigration process to meet business needs
  • Advise new & existing employees on policy and process changes as appropriate
  • Support the development and continuous improvement of the Global Mobility and Immigration function by providing input to develop, govern and maintain Global Mobility and Immigration policies
  • Update Global Mobility and Immigration metrics and reports
  • Maintain the process for tracking immigration and producing metrics for key stakeholders
  • Ensure that all immigration and relocation cases remain within acceptable policy parameters and escalate any exceptions if required; liaise with Global Mobility leadership on escalations and issue resolution
  • Perform other duties and special projects as needed.

Let’s talk if you have the following qualifications and experience:

  • 3+ years of customer service experience; experience working in Human Resources or corporate immigration function preferred.
  • Experience with immigration programs and administration specifically in the area of Visa/Work Permit filings a plus.
  • Knowledge or experience with international assignment taxation matters including year-end tax reconciliations a plus.
  • Excellent written & verbal communication, attention to detail, customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work productively both independently and as an integral member of cross-functional teams
  • Ability to multi-task, work under ambiguity, manage change and be proactive in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to work with and learn from individuals from other countries, cultures and disciplines
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving skills
  • Strong team player that is eager to collaborate, learn, and innovate
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Office 365 (Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word), and must be very comfortable with innovative technology
  • For internal candidates only: Proficiency in the Firm’s technology such as Connect, Reporting, data feed and initiation tools is a plus
