Job Title: Immigration Solicitor / Caseworker
Location: Liverpool City Centre
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum (DOE)

Our Immigration Department is expanding, and we are seeking an experienced Immigration Solicitor or Caseworker to join us on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to manage a diverse caseload and contribute to the growth of our practice.

Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW

The successful candidate will handle a broad range of immigration matters, working directly with clients from initial instruction through to the resolution of their case. You will be responsible for taking detailed instructions, preparing applications and appeals, and ensuring compliance with relevant immigration laws and procedures. You will also be expected to maintain a high standard of client care and manage your caseload efficiently.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Take instructions from clients on a variety of immigration matters.
  • Obtain, review, and prepare all relevant evidence and documentation to support applications.
  • Draft and submit immigration applications including (but not limited to):
  • EEA applications
  • Spousal applications
  • Extension of leave to remain
  • Indefinite leave to remain
  • Student visa and Skilled Worker applications
  • Visit visa applications
  • Sponsor licence applications
  • Asylum applications
  • Conduct appeals and prepare appeal bundles where required.
  • Handle claims against the Home Office including unlawful detention and Windrush-related cases.
  • Liaise with the Home Office, tribunals, and other relevant bodies.
  • Ensure compliance with the firm’s policies, SRA regulations, and OISC requirements where relevant.
  • Maintain accurate file management and time recording.
  • Deliver excellent client service, keeping clients updated throughout their matter.
