Description JOB SUMMARY: Under the supervision and direction of the Clinical Nursing Coordinator and/or Assistant Clinical Coordinator in coordination with the providers/mid-levels providers, assists in providing care in the area(s) assigned in accordance with established philosophy, policies and procedures. Responsible for demonstrating knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served, including demonstrating knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the lifespan. Must be able to identify and categorize each patient’s age specific grouping of needs, such as those infant, adolescents or geriatric patients. Must be EHR proficient. Must be proficient in all aspects of immunizations to include but not limited to documentation, ordering, receiving, distribution, training, reporting, and coordinating between different venders. Responsible for compliance with the other requirements affecting the clinic such as State/Federal regulations, PCMH standards and compliance/ Performance Improvement standards. Graduate from an accredited vocational training program for medical assistants. Certification or registration as Medical Assistants required. EXPERIENCE/TRAINING: Must have current CPR certification. Prior experience in various nursing areas preferred. Prior experience in patient education primarily in diabetes, hypertension, cardiac, pediatrics, immunizations, and other health related education programs preferred.

The Immunization Coordinator assists in providing patient care and manages all aspects of the immunization program, including documentation, ordering, and distribution. They ensure clinic compliance with state, federal, and PCMH standards while providing age-appropriate patient education.
