Thanks (thanks.co) is hiring an Implementation & Integrations Engineer to join our US team and play a founding role in ensuring seamless technical onboarding across our advertising platform. You'll collaborate closely with our sales, account management, product and engineering teams to execute our vision to create the only ad network where everyone wins. This role forms the critical bridge between our technical platform and our advertising partners. You'll be responsible for the end-to-end technical onboarding of advertisers and publishers, ensuring campaigns are flawlessly launched and properly tracked. This role combines hands-on technical troubleshooting and partner-facing problem solving, making you the "voice of the customer" who translates partner needs into product enhancements. We're looking for a technically-minded problem solver who thrives in the intersection of customer success and ad tech. You'll need strong debugging skills, advertising domain knowledge, and the communication abilities to translate complex technical issues into clear, actionable solutions for non-technical stakeholders. This is a unique opportunity to build processes from the ground up, while directly impacting revenue growth and partner satisfaction. What you'll do Technical Partner Onboarding: Set up new advertisers and publishers in our admin system, conducting comprehensive testing to ensure campaigns display correctly, tracking functions properly, and all technical integrations work seamlessly from day one. Campaign Quality Assurance: Execute detailed QA processes including verifying image quality and aspect ratios, checking copy for accuracy and proper formatting, validating targeting configurations, and identifying technical errors through browser console monitoring and E2E testing. Technical Troubleshooting & Integration Support: Debug complex ad tech integrations using Chrome DevTools, track HTTP requests and errors, and ensure accurate data flow across multiple systems including CRMs, tracking platforms, and partner networks. Cross-Platform Data Validation: Verify tracking accuracy for CPL, CPA, and CPC campaigns by cross-referencing data across our database, UserFlux, networks, and partner systems to ensure accurate reporting and budget management. Process Development & Documentation: Build and maintain comprehensive onboarding guides, QA processes, and technical documentation while serving as the "voice of the customer" to provide product and engineering teams with partner feedback and enhancement suggestions. What we're looking for Web Debugging Expertise: Strong ability to track and trace HTTP requests, identify errors, and troubleshoot web-based integrations using Chrome DevTools or similar inspection tools. Technical Foundation: Solid understanding of web authentication methods (API keys, bearer tokens, JWTs), DNS, HTML, CSS, JSON, query strings, caching, and iframes, with SQL skills for database comparison and analysis. Advertising Domain Experience: understanding of campaign performance monitoring and optimization, pixel/UTM tracking, and advertising metrics and attribution models. Affiliate Marketing Knowledge: hands-on with Impact, CJ Affiliate, Rakuten, Partnerize, or Awin - with understanding of tracking, attribution, conversion events, partner setup, reporting feeds. Communication Excellence: Ability to explain complex technical issues in non-technical terms, set clear expectations and timelines, and respond empathetically to partner complaints and frustrations. Problem-Solving Mindset: Methodical approach to diagnosing technical integration issues, with pattern recognition skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure while juggling multiple onboarding timelines. Detail-Oriented & Data-Driven: Exceptional attention to detail for ensuring campaign accuracy, combined with ability to analyze data for trends and insights. Startup Mentality: Self-motivated, organized, comfortable with ambiguity, adaptable to rapid change, and excited to be scrappy with available tools and resources while building and improving processes. Nice to have - but can be learned in the role Familiarity with major ad serving platforms, e.g. Google Ad Manager, and their integration patterns. Understanding of CORS, X-Frame-Options, Content-Security-Policy (CSP), SPF, DKIM, and DMARC configurations. TypeScript proficiency - ability to read and understand code for more effective debugging and integration support.
