SUMMARY An Import Agent facilitates communication between production, sales and distributions stages to promote a healthy and efficient supply chain. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Goods arriving at our warehouse or 3pl: Handle importing from Turkey & Egypt origins. Review factory documents to confirm accuracy of data transmission into NetSuite from InforNexus. Mark shipments in transit and take ownership in NetSuite. If T/T terms, send to A/P for payment approval of vendor invoice. Monitor shipments weekly and update ETAs as required to maintain accuracy. Track containers on water to ensure there are no delays. Ensure we have arrival notices five days prior to arrival date of container. Send all customs documents to broker to ensure customs is cleared upon arrival. Send A/P approval for freight payment. Ensure trucking company has D/O and container details are added to their tracker. Follow up to make sure containers are picked up before LFD to manage additional fees. Once warehouse receives containers, reviews receiving reports, and processes any discrepancies. Link final package for A/P ensuring all totals add up and send charge back to factory, if needed for shortages. Other Daily Activities: Distributions of Containers to various warehouses Closes Containers Maintains Log (i.e. arrival notice received, payment request sent, D/O submitted) Participate in T/L calls for top customers, providing updates on shipping statuses. Validate and approve freight and vendor invoices via Zone. Performs other related duties as assigned. Requirements QUALIFICATIONS · Proven work experience as an Import Coordinator-Clerk, or a similar role in the logistics department · Familiarity with the shipping procedures and shipment tracking software. · Basic understanding of port & drayage operations · Strong time management and organizational skills · Good communication verbally, written, and interpersonal skills · Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel · Detail-oriented and highly motivated individual · Strong analytical and problem-solving skills · Displaying multitasking abilities · Ability to offer excellent customer service.
