Job Description · Review and support with day-to-day quotations · Support product with checking local charges and agreement quotes to ensure we minimize potential branch losses. · Have thorough knowledge of the air import product including Breakbulk, Gateway & Pricing knowledge. · Plan and support with huddles and monthly meetings to discuss market intelligence and delegate workloads within the team. · Attend the weekly branch Sales meeting and facilitate discussions on Air imports with market updates and trends. · Take an active role in the transition of new business/ updates to existing business. · Grow department Revenue in line with District budget target and management expectations. · Supporting with BNP, AJAX, CLH, and internal financial reports to ensure that the Air Import department is showing clean financial accounting throughout all financial reports. · Maintain a positive relationship with the Trade Compliance Manager and support all compliance efforts and trainings. · Be open to implementing new system changes and enhancements into your department. · Be involved and suggest system/process improvements. · Review and conduct staff appraisals and one to one meeting timely in line with the 3+1 Initiative · Assist supervisor and key staff with goal setting and monitoring development. · Ensure all classification instructions for all shipments for all customers. · Monitor duty deferment usage and levels. · Monitor license/visa applications. · Ensure all new business is transitioned correctly. · Make 2 F2F calls per week – Retention/Sales · Maintain a positive relationship with the Trade Compliance Manager and support all compliance efforts and trainings. · Promote productivity tools (e.g., using edoc, process management, customsware usage/Expo customs. · Audit of files in accordance to AEO · Follow up refunds with customs authorities. · Management of customs system · Send client report requests through the available database (expo request, expo reporting) · Provide content for customer reviews – duty/vat Qualifications · Written and verbal communication skills. · Listening skills. · Leadership. · Emotional intelligence. · Leading change. · Adaptability. · Presentation skills. · Analytical thinking. · Problem solving. · Strategic Planning. · English language proficiency. · Global logistics industry knowledge. · 4 years of industry specific knowledge. . 3-5 years of Customs Broker’s specific knowledge · Graduate of IATA/FIATA introductory course (preferred)
