A leading Discount/Gifts Hypermarket located in a high-density labor area is looking for an experienced Import Buyer/Purchaser Manager to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who has hands-on experience sourcing a wide range of products, including clothing, shoes, fashion accessories, household items, and cosmetics, from key manufacturing countries such as China, Taiwan, Vietnam, Bangladesh, and others. The successful candidate will have a strong network of suppliers and the ability to negotiate the best possible prices for high-quality products.
The role also requires international travel to explore new product opportunities and strengthen supplier relationships.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Extensive experience as an Import Buyer or Purchaser, preferably in discount centers or gift shops.
• Strong network of contacts in sourcing countries like China, Taiwan, Vietnam, Bangladesh, and others.
• Proven ability to negotiate the best prices while ensuring high-quality products.
• Familiarity with import regulations and logistics, especially within the UAE market.
• Strong analytical skills to evaluate market trends and consumer preferences.
• Comfortable with frequent international travel for sourcing products and building supplier relationships.
• Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills to manage multiple suppliers and product lines.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Experience working with suppliers from China, Taiwan, Vietnam, Bangladesh, or other key sourcing regions.
• Experience in a day-to-day operational role at a discount center or gift shop located in labor accommodation areas is highly preferred.
