Job Description

  • To manage the company’s international trade operations
  • Develop and execute export strategies to grow existing business / clientele
  • Develop and execute export strategies to introduce new clients to the business
  • Identify opportunities in new markets, products or services
  • Ensure compliance of regulations pertaining to international trade
  • Knowledge of international trade regulations, laws, procedures etc
  • Building strong relationships with stakeholders in international trade (logistic partners, clients, management)
  • Coordinate all processes involved in import and export, including documentation, shipping, transport, customs, bank etc
  • Ensuring efficient execution of the entire delivery process in terms of costs and time
  • Attending to and responding responsibly to customer inquiries
  • Managing the Export Desk team including providing support to ensure improved and smooth functioning of the import and export operations
  • Build a culture of Solution-providing strategies within the organisation
  • Review freight policies and procedures to ensure CSR in supply chain operations

Skills required

  • Deep understanding of laws and regulations relating to international trade
  • Proficiency and attention to detail on import and export procedures and flow of work
  • Knowledge of logistics terminology, methods and management
  • Must be able to adapt to varying complexities and challenges in supply chain management
  • Clear and relevant communication skills to be understand international client needs, and it must be client-centric
  • Excellent written and verbal skills to work with internal team to ensure smooth flow of processes and documentation
  • Fluency in English as well languages relevant to target import/export markets
  • Ability to identify market trends, analyze customer and market data and build strategies for business growth
  • Good at multitasking, prioritization and meeting deadlines
  • Have the ability to resolve crisis or incidents on day to day operations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products
