JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Import/Export Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the logistics of importing and exporting goods, ensuring compliance with all regulations, and optimizing supply chain processes. This role requires strong analytical skills, knowledge of transportation management systems, and a solid understanding of inventory management practices.

EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field is essential.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and warehouse management systems is highly desirable.
  • Experience in freight operations, including NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier) knowledge is a plus.
  • Strong data analysis skills to assess supply chain performance metrics effectively.
  • Previous experience in procurement or category management will be advantageous.
  • Knowledge of materials management practices and transportation planning is beneficial.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and oversee the import and export processes to ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Manage supply chain operations including purchasing, inventory control, and warehouse distribution.
  • Utilize transportation management systems to plan and execute transportation logistics effectively.
  • Collaborate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and third-party logistics (3PL) providers to facilitate smooth shipping and receiving operations.
  • Implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency within the supply chain.
  • Analyze data related to inventory levels, demand planning, and order fulfillment to optimize stock levels.
  • Maintain accurate records of shipments, including documentation for customs clearance.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, national, and international regulations regarding imports and exports.
  • Manage packaging requirements for various products to ensure safe transport.
  • Oversee materials handling procedures within the warehouse environment.
