Description Englewood Truck Towing & Recovery – Richmond, IN Englewood Truck Towing & Recovery is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Impound Clerk to manage daily operations at our vehicle impound facility in Richmond, Indiana. This position plays a critical role in maintaining accurate vehicle records, assisting the public with vehicle releases, and ensuring compliance with state regulations related to impounded and abandoned vehicles. This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The ideal candidate will be organized, professional with the public, and comfortable working both in an office setting and outdoors in the impound yard. Schedule Monday – Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Pay is hourly. The successful candidate must be comfortable in a fast-paced work environment with many crucial deadlines. Requirements Key Responsibilities Process newly impounded vehicles and enter them into the company dispatch/storage system Verify vehicle information including VIN numbers, license plates, and vehicle descriptions Assist customers with vehicle releases and ensure all required documentation and payments are completed Maintain accurate records for all impounded vehicles Manage abandoned vehicle processing, including lienholder searches, title paperwork, and disposal procedures Coordinate with towing companies and law enforcement regarding vehicle intake and releases Track and maintain accurate inventory of all vehicles stored in the impound yard Perform daily lot checks to ensure all vehicles are properly documented and accounted for Move vehicles within the impound yard as needed to maintain organization and space management Maintain clear documentation for auctions, salvage, or disposal of abandoned vehicles Provide professional and courteous customer service to vehicle owners, insurance companies, and lienholders Qualifications Strong organizational and recordkeeping skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain attention to detail Comfortable interacting with the public in a professional manner Basic computer skills and ability to learn dispatch or records software Ability to work both indoors and outdoors as needed Ability to move and park vehicles within the impound yard Valid driver’s license required Experience with administrative work, title processing, towing, or impound operations is a plus but not required
Responsibilities
The clerk will manage daily operations by processing newly impounded vehicles, entering data into the system, and assisting the public with required vehicle releases and payments. Key duties include maintaining accurate records for all impounded vehicles and managing the processing procedures for abandoned vehicles.
