Join a dynamic team dedicated to advancing stroke care and driving clinical excellence. As an Improvement Specialist, you’ll lead stroke-related initiatives while supporting broader quality improvement efforts across the organization. This role blends hands-on clinical collaboration with strategic project leadership to deliver the best possible outcomes for our patients. Key Responsibilities Lead and coordinate stroke program initiatives, including policy reviews, process improvement, and data tracking. Attend in-house stroke codes to identify and resolve process breakdowns. Collaborate with inpatient services (ED, ICU, nursing units) and medical staff (physicians, APPs, fellows) to address care delivery issues. Educate EMS teams on stroke field assessment priorities and support staff training on stroke protocols. Roll out process changes and maintain documentation for site surveys and regulatory readiness. Partner with the Stroke Champion and Medical Director to update annual program goals and process flow documents. Support multidisciplinary teams in designing and implementing quality improvement projects across departments. Facilitate clinical design meetings, coach team members, and communicate progress to stakeholders. Collect and present data to evaluate performance and guide redesign efforts. Promote a culture of continuous improvement with patient care at the center of every initiative. Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Business Administration or related field required at time of hire/transfer, Master's degree in Business Administration preferred. 5 years of related experience required Knowledge of information systems and process improvement techniques. Must be able to demonstrate skills to understand and interpret data Ability to establish and maintain positive, caring relationships with executives, managers, physicians, non-physician providers, ancillary and support staff, other departments, and patients/families. Ability to work productively and effectively within a complex environment, handle multiple/changing priorities and specialized equipment. Exemplary critical thinking, analytical and problem solving abilities required as related to various aspects of patient care. Critical thinking skills necessary to exercise and to lead others. Mobility and visual manual dexterity. Physical stamina for frequent walking, standing, lifting.
