GMC UTILITIES GROUP ARE CURRENTLY SEEKING AN EXPERIENCED AND PROACTIVE IMS MANAGER TO LEAD AND MANAGE THE CONTINUED DEVELOPMENT, IMPLEMENTATION, AND MAINTENANCE OF OUR INTEGRATED MANAGEMENT SYSTEM ACROSS QUALITY, HEALTH & SAFETY, ENVIRONMENTAL, AND INFORMATION SECURITY STANDARDS.

This is a strategic role, suited to someone with a strong background in ISO management systems, internal auditing, and compliance within a construction, utilities, or infrastructure environment.

THE CANDIDATE: REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience managing integrated management systems within construction, civil engineering, or utilities sectors.
  • Proven knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ideally ISO 27001.
  • Lead Auditor qualification in one or more relevant standards desirable.
  • Excellent knowledge of compliance, risk management and audit processes.
  • Strong communication, organisational, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee the maintenance, compliance, and continual improvement of the Integrated Management System (IMS) in line with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 27001 standards.
  • Lead internal and external audit processes, ensuring timely close-out of non-conformities and driving corrective/preventive actions.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with legal, contractual, and company requirements.
  • Support operational teams in the implementation of management system processes and procedures.
  • Conduct risk assessments and support the development of improvement initiatives across departments.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies, certification bodies, and third-party auditors as required.
  • Prepare reports and presentations on IMS performance, trends, and KPIs for senior management.
  • Develop and deliver IMS-related training to staff at all levels across the business.
