JOB SUMMARY

Looking for in-home caregivers with at least 3 years of caregiving experience related to high needs seniors (Parkinson’s and dementia) and relevant diploma/degree. 24 hour care for elderly parents. Ability to speak Cantonese is an asset.
Female senior is non-communicative and immobile. Need to spoon feed and provide toileting/diapering care. Male has early dementia. Other duties: Administer meds, launder clothing, housekeeping duties, prepare meals, etc. Able or learn to use mechanical lift. Assist with personal hygiene. First Aid and CPR. Criminal check required. Canadian citizen/PR or work visa applicants.

WE WILL NOT SPONSOR WORK VISAS OR HIRE FOREIGN WORKERS WHO HAVE NO WORK STATUS IN CANADA.

Work hours available: Mondays 12 to 8 pm, Tuesdays 12 to 4 pm, Wednesdays 3 pm to 9 pm, Thursdays - 12 to 8 pm, Fridays - 8 am to 8 pm (2 shifts), Saturdays 8 am to 12 noon, Sundays 8 am to 12 noon or 4 to 9 pm. Hours may increase if candidate is suitable. Location: In-home care in Vancouver near UBC. Compensation: $28/hr. Looking for commitment of at least one year or more. Submit resume and cover letter.
