JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, ensuring they receive the care and attention necessary for their well-being. The ideal candidate will have experience in home care settings, particularly with clients requiring dementia and memory care.

EXPERIENCE

• Previous experience in home care or as a personal care assistant is preferred.
• Familiarity with dementia care, memory care, or social work is a plus.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist clients with physical mobility challenges.
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and build relationships with clients.

• Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
• Implement and follow care plans tailored to individual client needs.
• Provide companionship and engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being.
• Support clients with mobility and heavy lifting as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties.
• Monitor client health and report any changes or concerns to the supervising nurse or healthcare professional.
• Assist individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities by providing personalized support and encouragement.
