Job Details Job Location: Nashua - Nashua, NH 03060 Salary Range: $12.00 - $12.00 Hourly Job Title: In Home Furniture Repair Technician Department: Customer Care Reporting Supervisor/Manager: Customer Care Manager Description: Technicians skilled in both Refinishing and Re-upholstering who complete furniture repair jobs in the customer’s home. This position will be based out of our Nashua, NH but travel to ME and MA surrounding areas will be required. A company vehicle is provided. Responsibilities: Master level re-upholstery repairs, such as; replacement of all parts, all stitching repairs, repair of all rips and tears, all leather repairs, all spring replacement, including 8 way, all deck replacement, all skirt replacement, all frame repairs Master level refinishing skills, such as; replacement of all parts, all burn-ins and coloring, all repairs utilizing “Bondo” or other wood-filling products, all cross-grain scratch repair, buffing and polishing of all surfaces and finishes Decisions as to what can be repaired and what must be exchanged with the expectations of maintaining specified goals as to repaired vs exchanged merchandise Checking parts for accuracy and availability for each stop at least two days in advance of scheduled appointment Maintenance and upkeep of assigned vehicle. Conferring with Customer Care Manager on scheduled van maintenance appointments so as to not conflict with customer’s service appointments Calling in to Customer Care from each customer’s home to order parts , Even Exchanges or with any other work required – Completed calls do not have to be called in Noting all paperwork with results as to what was done or still needs to be done Determining if any charge backs are warranted (e.g. vendor, drivers) Ensuring that all paperwork has been appropriately commented and turned into and/or discussed with assigned Customer Care Specialist prior to leaving for the day Performing all duties in a safe and neat manner, keeping their work area free from potential hazards at all times Maintaining a professional and courteous manner with all employees, visitors and customers Adhering to all company policies and procedures All other duties as assigned Qualifications High School Diploma with some technical training Ability to interact with the public on a regular basis Ability to move and lift merchandise over 50lbs Advanced furniture product knowledge Driving knowledge of MA and NH area Willingness to accept overtime and add-on assignments, as necessary At Bernie & Phyl's Furniture, we recognize and appreciate all of our team members hard work and dedication.
