POSITION SUMMARY:

As an In-Home Personal Care Aide, you will play a vital role in helping clients maintain their independence and dignity within their own homes. You will assist with personal care tasks and support individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs) based on their personalized care plans.
This is a 1099 independent contractor position. Work is assigned based on client need, location, and caregiver availability.

QUALIFICATIONS:

No certification required to begin – training provided
Must be 18 years or older
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred
Ability to pass FBI fingerprint clearance, PA State background check, Pre-Background check and child abuse clearance
Able to lift at least 25 lbs, bend, reach, stand, and perform light physical activity
Compassionate, dependable, and able to work independently
Strong communication and time management skills
Prior experience in personal care, caregiving, or home care is a plus, but not required

Responsibilities

Typical responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assisting clients with personal hygiene (bathing, grooming, toileting)
  • Dressing and undressing clients
  • Helping with mobility, transfers, and repositioning
  • Preparing and serving meals and assisting with feeding if necessary
  • Performing light housekeeping (laundry, dishes, room tidying)
  • Providing companionship, conversation, and emotional support
  • Reminding clients to take medications as prescribed
  • Escorting clients to medical appointments or social outings (as needed)
  • Observing and reporting changes in client condition
