About the Role As an In-Home Support Specialist, you’ll provide individualized, person-centered support to adults with ID/DD living independently within their local community. This role is ideal for someone who is compassionate, reliable, and values building strong, respectful relationships. You’ll support individuals with daily living skills, community engagement, and goal-based activities, helping people thrive in their homes while promoting independence and inclusion. Key Responsibilities Provide direct, person-centered support in individuals’ homes and community settings Support daily living skills such as routines, household tasks, medical appointments and community participation Assist individuals in working toward personal goals outlined in their Individual Support Plans (ISPs) Monitor health, safety, and overall well-being, reporting concerns as needed Complete timely and accurate documentation in agency systems Communicate and collaborate with supervisors, families, and other service providers Respond appropriately to incidents and follow agency and DDS protocols . What We’re Looking For A compassionate, dependable team member who values dignity and respect Experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills Ability to work independently while remaining connected to a supportive team Commitment to person-centered, and culturally responsive practices Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required (bachelor’s degree in human services or related field preferred) Experience in human services or community-based supports preferred Valid Massachusetts Driver’s License and reliable transportation required Ability to work in community and home-based settings CPR/First Aid certification required (training provided) Proficiency with basic technology and electronic documentation systems Why Join WORK Inc.
