I have an immediate need for an in-home 1st grade tutor for Reading and English. He is behind grade level with regard to reading and ELA. He knows his alphabet, but still has trouble identifying a few letters on their own. He also needs assistance with writing. Naturally, because he’s behind in those areas he’s having difficulty learning his sounds and overall learning to read. Mom also says there are comprehension issues, but she’s unsure whether it’s because of his attention span or if there is something else holding him back.
The goal for him is to get caught up to grade level as much as possible over the summer. Mom would like to see him progressing with his peers by the end of the first semester at the latest.
The parents wants 1 hour sessions once per week. They are availabe Monday Through Friday from 12PM to 5PM.

Job Requirements

• Tutor must be willing to work at the students’ home in Wilmington near the Georgetown Pool and College Rd.
• Tutor must be available for 1 hour sessions 1 time a week.
• Minimal travel required to meet with student (you decide the distance you are willing to travel, typically 5-10 miles)

Monday Through Friday 12PM to 5PM
