Role Overview Apply your culinary experience and passion to operate our unique in-house cafe and restaurant, creating and serving delicious, healthy, and nutrient-focused breakfast and lunch dishes for our team of up to ~25 people daily, with a frequently rotating menu influenced by international and Asian cuisines. Support our team to live and work healthily while they give their best to shape the course and legacy of the Japanese design industry. Key Responsibilities Manage daily operations of the in-house cafe and restaurant for up to ~25 people daily, including dish planning, ingredient purchasing, inventory tracking, cooking, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality breakfast and lunch offerings Create compact, frequently rotating menus featuring international cuisines, including Western and Asian dishes Take orders from staff, cook, and serve dishes with the heart and soul of a true hospitality professional Prepare a variety of high-quality coffee and healthy, delicious drinks tailored to trends and team preferences Design dishes with a focus on taste, health, and nutrient composition, aligning with dietary goals (e.g., protein-rich for strength training, low glycemic index for sustained energy) Apply strong knowledge of nutrition to craft meals that support specific dietary needs and wellness objectives Skills & Qualifications Deep knowledge on or the interested and ability to learn about nutritional science is required Familiarity with sustainable sourcing and cost-effective inventory management is required Creativity in developing innovative, health-focused recipes and drink options is required Ability to build and lead a small support team of 1~2 additional people to ensure smooth cafe and restaurant operations, if needed Experience working at an acclaimed restaurant or cafe is a huge plus Good business English or Japanese language proficiency Why join us We will provide you with all the tools and opportunities necessary to make a direct, meaningful and long-lasting impact on our team and the future of the Japanese design industry You will be part of a high-trust community that encourages risk-taking, experimentation and innovation You will be working alongside ambitious creatives and executors from a wide range of backgrounds and disciplines Visit https://spacecurve.jp/ to learn more about us.
