The Opportunity BDS is looking for a dedicated In-house Copier Technician/Refurbishment Associate to join our thriving team. As an In-house Copier Technician/Refurbishment Associate you would be providing a service utilizing your electromechanical skills to help service the technicians in the field as well as refurbish copiers. To be successful in this position you should be a team player, highly organized, and have proficient computer skills. Your Impact at BDS Manage and repair office equipment on site at our warehouse Extend outstanding support by meeting technicians’ needs on time. Investigate and resolve advanced, high-level maintenance and repair issues. Manage accurate inventory of tools, parts, and supplies. Assemble machines as per specifications with hand and power tools and measuring devices. Run machines to test parts functionality. Conduct preventive maintenance and calibrations of office equipment. Troubleshoot equipment and identifying malfunctions as well as cause. Establish relationships with service technicians Requirements What You will Need to be Successful Minimum of a high school diploma or G.E.D equivalent required. Valid driver’s license required, with a solid driving record and vehicle insurance. Reliable Vehicle Excellent customer service and communication skills Ability to adapt and work with a team and independently. Preferred education and experience: 1+ years of experience preferred in maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of copier/printer office equipment. Industry knowledge of major copier and printer manufacturers such as Kyocera, Canon, Ricoh, and/or Xerox preferred. Networking knowledge preferred Excellent Communication Skills, verbal and written Can-do Attitude and a willingness to learn Work Environment Warehouse Physical Demands Sitting, standing, walking, light lifting, carrying, reaching, pushing, and pulling/transporting equipment parts and boxes. Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds. Ability to sit and stand for prolonged periods to perform computer and telephone-based tasks. Must be able to operate a computer, telephone and keyboard. Close vision requirements due to equipment and computer work. Travel Use of personal vehicle for local parts delivery may be required. Eligible for mileage reimbursement.
