Job Title: In-House Maintenance Engineer
Location: Knaresborough, North Yorkshire
Salary: Up to £38,000
Hours: 6am – 6pm, four days on / four days off
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled and proactive Maintenance Engineer to join a dynamic and fast paced environment within a leading provider on the outskirts of Knaresborough. In this key role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and reliable operation, responding swiftly to breakdowns and performing effective repairs to minimise downtime and taking proactive measures to avoid these situations.

Key responsibilities of In-House Maintenance Engineer:

  • Perform proactive and reactive electro-mechanical maintenance across a wide range of site machinery and systems.
  • Support calibration, servicing and condition monitoring of equipment.
  • Use maintenance systems and radios for communication, escalating issues to team leaders as needed.
  • Operate mechanical handling equipment safely; address and report any misuse.
  • Adhere to all HSE, fire and site safety protocols; act as first responder to alarms.
  • Maintain site standards through proper use of PPE/tools, housekeeping and enforcing company procedures.

Experience as In-House Maintenance Engineer required:

  • Prior mechanical and/or electrical experience
  • Demonstrate strong team collaboration and a proactive ‘can do’ attitude.
