REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Biomedical, Electrical, Mechanical or similar) is preferred
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in MedTech or a similar service-related industry
  • Proven strong ability in handling varied and complex equipment troubleshooting cases
  • Proven solid knowledge and experience of systems, techniques and procedures obtained through prior work experience or education
  • Demonstrated solid knowledge and understanding of AS/NZ 3551:2012 and ISO 13485:2016
  • Quality and Patient-focused - To be able to put patient safety first by having a quality mindset
  • Enthusiastic & willingness to learn

  • Reliable team player who also holds high accountability of own work

PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

Responsibilities:

  • Performs in-house servicing on a wide variety of medical devices at the S&R Workshop as per AS/NZ 3551:2012
  • Performs maintenance, testing and calibration of repaired medical devices
  • Performs loan return testing and assists with service loan supply management
  • Diagnoses electrical, mechanical, software and systems failures using established procedures
  • Prepares reports for analysis of product failure trends and serviceability issues
  • May communicate with field-based technicians for details helpful to failure diagnostics or repair and may include direct client communication (further queries, quotes etc)
  • Performed new product testing as part of the Australian Pre-delivery inspection process
