Description The In-House Service Technician is responsible for providing technical repair and service work on portable gas detectors onsite in our Columbia, MO office. The In-House Service Technician will be responsible for the diagnostic review, repair, and replacement of parts. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for portables technical support, sales support, and monthly calibration reminders. Receives portables for repair, diagnosis the problem, send a quote, receive a PO, fix the issue, and then return the portable back to the customer. Complete all assigned tasks for repair, maintenance, and equipment tests. Repair broken-down or damaged equipment, and recommend new parts/product when needed, or when it would be more cost efficient for the customer. Ensure that product works correctly and safely. Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions. Educate the end product users about the correct use and upkeep of their products. Track department inventory and make timely notifications when inventory is running low. Adheres to safety regulations and industry standards. Fill out detailed reports and keep records of services that have been performed. Requirements High School Degree or equivalency (required). High attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and engagement skills. Proficient in common word processing, spreadsheet, database, and web-based applications.
